Bio
James was raised in a Christian household in Memphis, TN and accepted Christ at a very young age. He was a “good kid” who strived for excellence in everything. As he got older and grew in his knowledge of the Lord, he began to grow in pride in himself, not realizing that although his mind was growing in knowledge, his heart was not growing in faith. While he was at MSU on a football scholarship, a friend and teammate noticed that James’ attitude didn’t line up with his Christian beliefs. He invited James to FCA, and things began to change. During the next three years, James served on the FCA leadership team where he learned grace, love, and humility. These years were vital to his life of discipleship. After graduating in 2005 with a degree in business administration, he attended the Kanakuk Institute, a Bible college in Branson, MO. He graduated from there in April 2006. Shortly after, James married Jasmine, and they moved to Auburn for nine months to complete the FCA Chaplain’s Training Program. They have been in Hattiesburg since May 2007, fulfilling their call to the ministry.
